Creative Watchmaking In The Name Of Charity Piaget Strongly Supports Only Watch Activities

As a well-known high-end charity event in the international watchmaking industry, Only Watch brings together creative and technical talents in the industry to raise scientific and medical research funds to overcome Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy. Under the auspices of Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Only Watch event is held every two years and exhibits watches exclusively designed by participating watchmakers. The charity bazaar will be held in November, 2017 in Geneva. Piaget also designed a special watch for this event, which once again showed its support for the event. Prior to this, the watch will appear in a series of touring exhibitions, starting with the Monaco Yacht Show from September 27th to 30th, 2017, and then will visit Asia, the Gulf States, the United States and Europe.

Piaget launches special watch for the 7th ‘Only Watch’

‘The Count is pleased to donate this unique watch to the Monaco Association to provide much-needed help to Duchenne’s muscular atrophy research and raise public awareness of this atrophic neuromuscular disease.’ Piaget CEO Chabnam Nouri said. ‘Only Watch gives us the opportunity to give full play to creativity and design talents for important careers. At this year’s event, Piaget looks back on the classic era with distinctive themes as the brand’s distinctive style, and regains its unique personality charm through the beauty of style and color Design style. ‘

When designing a special watch for the 7th Only Watch, Piaget recalled his glorious history of breaking through the traditional pillow case style and subverting the design tradition of the era in the 1950s. Not just a circle, square or rectangle, but all three. This unconventional watch creates a three-dimensional depth effect on the case through the design of matte and bright surfaces superimposed on each other and shows Piaget The count’s superb metalworking.
This unique watch that appeared on the Only Watch sale list was a member of the cultural icon Andy Warhol’s private Piaget collection and is now one of Piaget’s collections.
In the 2017 Only Watch, Piaget launched this retro-styled Black Tie watch. The gold case echoes the color theme of this year’s Only Watch event and features a dial made of brown tiger’s eye. This bright and jewel, also known as Stormstone, is extremely protective and particularly resistant to changing climates.

Piaget’s Black Tie vintage watches inherit the classic models from the brand culture, and reproduce the bold style once famous in the 1950s and 1960s in the new design. The case is engraved with the words ‘Only Watch 2017 – Unique Piece’, highlighting the extraordinary characteristics of this watch.
